The Normal Moore Space Conjecture
by
Chris Good
University of Birmingham

In the spirit of the Galway Colloquia, we give a survey of various results concerning the metrizability of normal Moore spaces. In a couple of lectures we should be able to give a reasonably detailed exposition of: a) collectionwise normal Moore spaces are metrizable; b) MA+ not CH implies that there is a separable normal non-metrizable Moore space; c) PMEA implies all normal Moore spaces are metrizable. If you have seen all this before, you might be better off going across the road to Maison Blanc and having a coffee together with some of the best cakes around.
