ZFC Diamond
by
Benjamin Mann
Oxford University

ZFC Diamond is a method by which a topology can be constructed in ZFC by transfinite recursion to satisfy certain types of properties. It is so named for the similarity of the resultant constructions to Diamond constructions, in that potential problems in the construction are predicted and solved at a certain stage of the recursion. We describe the method, along with some recent developments.
