School of Maths Summer Internships

Applications are invited for undergraduate research internship positions to be held in the School of Maths for up to 10 weeks between June and September, 2012. Interns will receive €250 per week. Internship candidates should complete this application form (.doc) ( pdf) and submit a single MS Word document by 5 pm on April 20th, 2012 by email to Cathal.Seoighe@nuigalway.ie. Please include School of Maths Internships in the subject line.

Internships are available to undergraduate students of any nationality. Interns must not have completed their final primary degree examinations. It is expected that the most competitive students will be those entering their final year. Eligible supervisors are those who may supervise M.Sc./Ph.D. students. Candidates should make contact directly with prospective supervisors to discuss projects and to arrange for the submission of the required recommendation. A list of staff members who are willing to host interns is on the notice board in the Mathematics Admin Block (Block C, Ground Floor)
