The Statistics Group within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics in NUI Galway, in conjunction with the newly established HRB Clinical Research Facility Galway, are hosting the 31st CASI in Galway from Wednesday May 18th to Friday May 20th 2011 in the Galway Bay Hotel on the Salthill Promenade. 

The conference is the Irish Statistical Association’s forum for discussion of statistical and related issues for Irish and International statisticians with an emphasis on both theoretical research and practical applications in all areas of statistics.

Confirmed invited speakers are Professor Murray Aitkin (University of Melbourne), Professor Paul Eilers (Erasmus Medical Center, University of Rotterdam), Professor Thomas Louis (Johns Hopkins University) and Professor Cathal Seoighe (NUI Galway).

Contributed papers for oral and poster presentations are sought in all areas of statistics and data analysis. The deadline for abstract submission is March 18th 2011. Registration is now open. Please note late registration fee applies after 22nd April, after this time rooms can no longer be guaranteed.
