| Course website: | Information and course documents will be posted here, and so on NUIGalway.Blackboard.com |
Copies of slides used in class will be posted here at least 3 hours before the beginning of the lecture. They contain all the main ideas and definitions, but don't include the details of the worked examples done in class.
Please review these notes before class: you'll find you can assimilate much more information during the lecture.
There will be three assignments in Discrete Mathematics. More details will be provided in class.
The assignments are administered using an online system called WeBWorK. It generates a unique problem set for each student. Everyone gets the same number and type of exercises, but the numbers/coefficients are different.
When you enter a solution, the system tells you immediately if it is correct or not. In most cases, you are allowed up to 10 attempts. After the deadline has passed, answers become available, and no further attempts are possible.
For each problem set, you'll be provided with sample hard-copy for user "99999999", which you can print out: this have be helpful when working in tutorials or in SUMS.
